Sometimes Being a Realtor Means Getting Your Hands Dirty

Real estate isn’t always glamorous.

Sometimes it’s showing beautiful homes, meeting great people, handing over keys, and celebrating at closing.

And sometimes…

You’re holding a Swiffer.

I had a seller who was out of state and couldn’t get a cleaner to the property.

The house needed a little TLC before the next step in the selling process.

So I grabbed my Swiffer, rolled up my sleeves, and got to work.

Was cleaning the house technically my job?

Not really.

Did I mind?

Not at all.

Real Estate Is About More Than the Transaction

When you’re selling a home, there are a lot of little things that can make a difference.

A clean house shows better.

A tidy house photographs better.

A well-presented house makes a better first impression.

And when my seller isn’t physically there to take care of something, I’m not going to stand around and say, “That’s not my job.”

I’m going to look for a solution.

Sometimes that means calling a contractor.

Sometimes it means finding a cleaner.

Sometimes it means making a phone call.

And sometimes it means grabbing a Swiffer.

My Job Is to Help You Win

That’s really what I think my job comes down to.

Help my clients win.

If I can make the process easier, reduce some stress, solve a problem, or help a house show its best, I’m going to do it.

That’s especially important when you’re selling from out of state or trying to coordinate everything from a distance.

You need someone local who can see what’s happening, identify problems, and actually do something about them.

So Don’t Expect Me to Sit Behind a Desk

I love the strategy side of real estate.

I love negotiating.

I love analyzing the market.

I love helping buyers find the right house.

I love helping sellers develop a plan.

But I’m also perfectly happy rolling up my sleeves when the situation calls for it.

Because at the end of the day, this isn’t about looking like a Realtor.

It’s about being a good one.

And sometimes being a good Realtor means getting your hands a little dirty.

Or, in this case…

a little Swiffer-y. 💪✨
