Here’s something that might sound surprisingly simple:
My clients know when I’m available. And they know when I’m not.
I think that’s important.
Because being responsive doesn’t mean being available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
It means being clear about what people can expect from you.
You Shouldn’t Have to Guess
One of the things that creates unnecessary stress during a real estate transaction is uncertainty.
“Did my Realtor get my message?”
“When will I hear back?”
“Is he working on this?”
“Should I call again?”
I don’t want my clients wondering about those things.
I want them to know how I communicate, when I’m available, and when they can expect to hear back from me.
Being Responsive Doesn’t Mean Being Glued to My Phone
Real estate can move quickly.
I know that.
Sometimes a decision really does need to be made quickly, and I’m going to be there when it matters.
But there are also times when I need to step away.
Family time matters.
Sleep matters.
Being present matters.
And I think being honest about that is actually better for everyone.
Rather than pretending I’m available every second of every day, I’d rather establish clear expectations.
Here’s when you can reach me. Here’s when I’m offline. And here’s when I’ll get back to you.
That’s being real.
Clarity Builds Trust
I’ve found that people don’t necessarily need their Realtor to be available every minute.
They need to know that their Realtor is reliably available when it matters.
That’s a big difference.
Communication isn’t about responding instantly to every notification.
It’s about creating a system where my clients know what’s happening and know they can count on me.
That’s how I like to work.
Clear expectations.
Consistent communication.
No guessing.
And when something important comes up?
I’m there.
